Annexin A5/Annexin V Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13945)
The ANXA5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13945) is a valuable tool for research involving ANXA5, a protein known for its role in apoptosis and the regulation of cell membrane dynamics. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ANXA5 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in cell biology, apoptosis, and cancer research.ANXA5, also known as annexin A5, is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of cell death processes.
Its involvement in apoptosis and cell membrane function makes it a key target for research into various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and autoimmune conditions. Investigating the function of ANXA5 can provide insights into mechanisms underlying these diseases and aid in the development of new therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating cell death pathways.

The Annexin 5 gene spans 29 kb containing 13 exons, and encodes a single transcript of approximately 1.6 kb and a protein product with a molecular weight of about 35 kDa.The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins some of which have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. Annexin 5 is a phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C inhibitory protein with calcium channel activity and a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. Annexin 5 has also been described as placental anticoagulant protein I, vascular anticoagulant-alpha, endonexin II, lipocortin V, placental protein 4 and anchorin CII. Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in various obstetric complications.
