The TOM1L2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB20563) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TOM1L2, a protein involved in intracellular trafficking and protein sorting. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to TOM1L2, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology and protein trafficking.TOM1L2 is a key player in the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) pathway, which is essential for the proper sorting and recycling of proteins within cells.
Dysregulation of TOM1L2 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Therefore, research on TOM1L2 is crucial for understanding the mechanisms underlying these conditions and developing potential therapeutic strategies.Overall, the TOM1L2 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the function and regulation of this important protein, with potential applications in cancer biology, neurobiology, and beyond.

This gene belongs to a small gene family whose members have an N-terminal VHS domain followed by a GAT domain; domains which typically participate in vesicular trafficking. The canonical protein encoded by this gene also has a C-terminal clathrin binding motif. This protein has been shown to interact with Tollip, clathrin and ubiquitin and is thought to play a role in endosomal sorting. This gene resides in the 3.7 Mb deletion of chromosome region 17p11.2 that is associated with Smith-Magenis syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins.
