The Anti-Sprouty 2 Antibody (CAB8611) is a vital tool for research involving Sprouty 2, a protein that plays a key role in cell signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of cell growth and development. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the Sprouty 2 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable tool for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.Sprouty 2 is known for its inhibitory effects on growth factor signaling pathways, influencing processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration.
Its involvement in these crucial cellular activities makes it a promising target for research on various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. Understanding the function and regulation of Sprouty 2 is essential for gaining insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and for developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting this protein.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 216-315 of human Sprouty 2 (O43597).
This gene encodes a protein belonging to the sprouty family. The encoded protein contains a carboxyl-terminal cysteine-rich domain essential for the inhibitory activity on receptor tyrosine kinase signaling proteins and is required for growth factor stimulated translocation of the protein to membrane ruffles. In primary dermal endothelial cells this gene is transiently upregulated in response to fibroblast growth factor two. This protein is indirectly involved in the non-cell autonomous inhibitory effect on fibroblast growth factor two signaling. The protein interacts with Cas-Br-M (murine) ectropic retroviral transforming sequence, and can function as a bimodal regulator of epidermal growth factor receptor/mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling. This protein may play a role in alveoli branching during lung development as shown by a similar mouse protein.
