The Anti-SIRT2 Antibody (CAB3967) is a vital tool for researchers studying SIRT2, a member of the sirtuin family of proteins involved in regulating cellular processes such as metabolism, aging, and stress response. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications.SIRT2 is known to play a role in various physiological and pathological conditions, making it a key target for investigation in the fields of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders. By targeting SIRT2 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into its expression levels and subcellular localization, providing valuable information for further research and drug development efforts.
With its ability to selectively bind to the SIRT2 protein, the Anti-SIRT2 Antibody (CAB3967) offers researchers a powerful tool for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying disease pathology and identifying potential therapeutic targets. Its versatility and reliability make it an essential component of any lab working in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, and drug discovery.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class I of the sirtuin family. Several transcript variants are resulted from alternative splicing of this gene.
