The SEC23A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8613) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SEC23A, a key component of the COPII protein complex involved in vesicle transport within cells. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the SEC23A protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for research in cell biology and molecular biology.SEC23A is essential for the proper formation of transport vesicles that carry cargo from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus.
Dysregulation of SEC23A function has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and certain types of cancer. By studying the role of SEC23A in vesicle transport pathways, researchers can gain insights into cellular processes and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for treatment of related conditions.Overall, the SEC23A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8613) is a valuable resource for researchers investigating the functions and mechanisms of SEC23A in cellular biology and disease pathology. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a reliable tool for advancing understanding in this field.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 300-400 of human Sec23AA (Q15436).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SEC23 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family. It is part of a protein complex and found in the ribosome-free transitional face of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and associated vesicles. This protein has similarity to yeast Sec23p component of COPII. COPII is the coat protein complex responsible for vesicle budding from the ER. The encoded protein is suggested to play a role in the ER-Golgi protein trafficking.
