The Anti-PML Isoform 5 Antibody (CAB18134) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the PML protein isoform 5, a key player in cellular processes such as DNA repair, apoptosis, and senescence. This antibody is generated in rabbits and has been shown to be highly specific for human samples, making it an excellent choice for studies involving PML isoform 5.The antibody is validated for use in Western blot applications, where it targets the PML isoform 5 protein specifically, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types. Its high reactivity and specificity make it an ideal tool for researchers in fields such as cancer research and molecular biology.
PML isoform 5 is known to play a crucial role in cellular functions and has been implicated in diseases such as cancer and aging. Understanding the function and regulation of this isoform is essential for developing targeted therapies and treatments for these conditions. The Anti-PML Isoform 5 Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to study PML isoform 5 and further explore its role in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. This phosphoprotein localizes to nuclear bodies where it functions as a transcription factor and tumor suppressor. Its expression is cell-cycle related and it regulates the p53 response to oncogenic signals. The gene is often involved in the translocation with the retinoic acid receptor alpha gene associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Extensive alternative splicing of this gene results in several variations of the protein's central and C-terminal regions; all variants encode the same N-terminus. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
