The Anti-Phospho-TRKA (Y674/675) & TRKB (Y706/707) Antibody (CABP0549) is a crucial tool for research involving the phosphorylation of TRKA and TRKB, two key receptors involved in neuronal development and function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for detecting phosphorylated forms of TRKA and TRKB in human samples, making it an essential tool for Western blot analysis.TRKA and TRKB are receptor tyrosine kinases that play essential roles in neurotrophic signaling, neuronal survival, and synaptic plasticity. Phosphorylation at specific tyrosine residues, such as Y674/675 in TRKA and Y706/707 in TRKB, is known to regulate their activity and downstream signaling pathways.
The Anti-Phospho-TRKA & TRKB Antibody enables the detection and analysis of these phosphorylation events, providing valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms controlling neuronal function.Research into TRKA and TRKB phosphorylation is crucial for understanding their roles in neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric conditions. By uncovering the signaling pathways activated by phosphorylated TRKA and TRKB, researchers can identify new targets for therapeutic intervention and develop strategies to modulate neurotrophic signaling for improved treatment outcomes.

This gene encodes a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor (NTKR) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensory neuron subtypes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilating behavior, mental retardation and cancer. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene have been found, but only three have been characterized to date. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
