The Anti-Phospho-POLR2A (S7) Antibody (CABP0969) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of the POLR2A protein, a key component of the RNA polymerase II complex involved in transcription. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to the phosphorylated form of POLR2A at serine 7 in human samples. The antibody is validated for use in Western blot applications, enabling detection and analysis of phosphorylated POLR2A in various cell types.
This makes it ideal for studies in molecular biology, gene expression regulation, and transcriptional control.Understanding the mechanisms of POLR2A phosphorylation at serine 7 is essential for unraveling its role in transcriptional regulation and gene expression. The Anti-Phospho-POLR2A (S7) Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to investigate these processes and advance our understanding of transcriptional control in health and disease.

This gene encodes the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. The product of this gene contains a carboxy terminal domain composed of heptapeptide repeats that are essential for polymerase activity. These repeats contain serine and threonine residues that are phosphorylated in actively transcribing RNA polymerase. In addition, this subunit, in combination with several other polymerase subunits, forms the DNA binding domain of the polymerase, a groove in which the DNA template is transcribed into RNA.
