Description
Anti-Phospho-NCF4/p40-phox-T154 Antibody (CABP1193)
The Anti-phospho-NCF4 (p40-phox) T154 Polyclonal Antibody (CABP1193) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of NCF4, a key component of the phagocytic oxidase system. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to the phosphorylated form of NCF4 at threonine 154 and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Phosphorylation of NCF4 at threonine 154 plays a crucial role in the activation of the phagocytic oxidase system, which is essential for the generation of reactive oxygen species and the clearance of pathogens by immune cells. By detecting and analyzing the phosphorylated form of NCF4, researchers can gain valuable insights into the regulation of this important immune response pathway.
This antibody is ideal for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and inflammation, where understanding the phosphorylation status of NCF4 is essential for unraveling the complex mechanisms of the immune response. By using the Anti-phospho-NCF4 (p40-phox) T154 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further their understanding of immune regulation and potentially develop new therapies for diseases involving dysregulation of the immune system.

UniProt Protein Function: | p40phox: a component of the NADPH-oxidase, a multicomponent enzyme system responsible for the oxidative burst. Upon neutrophil stimulation, this protein and other cytosolic elements are sent to the cell membrane from the cytosol to form a complex which produces phagocytic oxygen radicals. Responsible for the downregulation of NADPH-oxidase. Alternative splicing has been observed. |

NCBI Summary: | The protein encoded by this gene is a cytosolic regulatory component of the superoxide-producing phagocyte NADPH-oxidase, a multicomponent enzyme system important for host defense. This protein is preferentially expressed in cells of myeloid lineage. It interacts primarily with neutrophil cytosolic factor 2 (NCF2/p67-phox) to form a complex with neutrophil cytosolic factor 1 (NCF1/p47-phox), which further interacts with the small G protein RAC1 and translocates to the membrane upon cell stimulation. This complex then activates flavocytochrome b, the membrane-integrated catalytic core of the enzyme system. The PX domain of this protein can bind phospholipid products of the PI(3) kinase, which suggests its role in PI(3) kinase-mediated signaling events. The phosphorylation of this protein was found to negatively regulate the enzyme activity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
