The Anti-Phospho-BRD4 (S498/S499) Antibody (CABP1179) is a valuable tool for researchers studying BRD4, a key regulator of gene transcription and cell growth. This antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically recognizes the phosphorylated forms of BRD4 at serine 498 and serine 499 in human samples, making it a useful tool for Western blot analysis.BRD4 is a member of the bromodomain and extraterminal domain (BET) family of proteins, which play important roles in epigenetic gene regulation and cancer development. Phosphorylation of BRD4 at S498 and S499 has been linked to changes in its function, including enhanced transcriptional activity and oncogenic potential.
Therefore, the Anti-Phospho-BRD4 (S498/S499) Antibody is crucial for studying the role of BRD4 phosphorylation in cancer progression and identifying potential therapeutic targets.Researchers in the fields of cancer biology, epigenetics, and drug discovery can benefit from the high specificity and sensitivity of CABP1179 in detecting phosphorylated BRD4. By enabling the detection and analysis of phospho-BRD4 in various cell types and tissues, this antibody facilitates a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer and identifies novel targets for intervention.
Product Name:
Phospho-BRD4-S498/S499 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CABP1179
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human
Immunogen:
A synthetic phosphorylated peptide around S498 & S499 of human BRD4 (NP_490597.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is homologous to the murine protein MCAP, which associates with chromosomes during mitosis, and to the human RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. Each of these proteins contains two bromodomains, a conserved sequence motif which may be involved in chromatin targeting. This gene has been implicated as the chromosome 19 target of translocation t(15;19)(q13;p13.1), which defines an upper respiratory tract carcinoma in young people. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

Affinity purification

23476
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.01% thimerosal,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
