The Anti-PARP2 Antibody (CAB5945) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 2 (PARP2), a nuclear enzyme involved in various cellular processes such as DNA repair, genomic stability, and apoptosis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and reactivity with human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the PARP2 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in different cell types, providing insights into its role in cellular processes and potential implications in cancer research and therapy development.
PARP2 is an essential protein involved in DNA damage response and repair mechanisms, making it a target of interest in cancer research. Its involvement in DNA repair pathways and genomic stability highlights its potential as a therapeutic target for cancer treatment strategies aimed at inducing DNA damage in tumor cells. Understanding the function and regulation of PARP2 is crucial for developing targeted therapies that exploit its role in DNA repair mechanisms, ultimately leading to improved treatment options for cancer patients.
Product Name:
PARP2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB5945
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 484-583 of human PARP2 (Q9UGN5).
This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 2 protein, which contains a catalytic domain and is capable of catalyzing a poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. This protein has a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. The basic residues within the N-terminal region of this protein may bear potential DNA-binding properties, and may be involved in the nuclear and/or nucleolar targeting of the protein. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found.
