The Anti-P4HB Antibody (CAB19239) is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving Protein Disulfide-Isomerase A (P4HB), a key protein involved in protein folding and redox regulation. The antibody is raised in rabbits and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.P4HB, also known as PDIA1, is an essential enzyme that catalyzes the formation, reduction, and isomerization of disulfide bonds in proteins, playing a crucial role in maintaining proper protein structure and function. Dysregulation of P4HB has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
By utilizing the Anti-P4HB Antibody, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the expression of P4HB in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into its role in disease development and progression. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cell biology, biochemistry, and pathology, offering researchers the opportunity to deepen their understanding of P4HB-related pathways and potential therapeutic targets.

This gene encodes the beta subunit of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a highly abundant multifunctional enzyme that belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. When present as a tetramer consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits, this enzyme is involved in hydroxylation of prolyl residues in preprocollagen. This enzyme is also a disulfide isomerase containing two thioredoxin domains that catalyze the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds. Other known functions include its ability to act as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins in a concentration-dependent manner, its ability to bind thyroid hormone, its role in both the influx and efflux of S-nitrosothiol-bound nitric oxide, and its function as a subunit of the microsomal triglyceride transfer protein complex.
