The NF-kB2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB19605) is a valuable tool for research involving NF-kB2, a key transcription factor involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the NF-kB2 protein, it enables researchers to study its expression and activation in a variety of cell types, making it an essential reagent for studies in immunology, cancer research, and inflammation.
NF-kB2 is a crucial mediator of immune and inflammatory pathways, playing a key role in the regulation of cytokine production, cell survival, and immune cell activation. Dysregulation of NF-kB2 signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. By understanding the activity and regulation of NF-kB2, researchers can gain insights into the underlying mechanisms of these diseases and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for intervention.

This gene encodes a subunit of the transcription factor complex nuclear factor-kappa-B (NFkB). The NFkB complex is expressed in numerous cell types and functions as a central activator of genes involved in inflammation and immune function. The protein encoded by this gene can function as both a transcriptional activator or repressor depending on its dimerization partner. The p100 full-length protein is co-translationally processed into a p52 active form. Chromosomal rearrangements and translocations of this locus have been observed in B cell lymphomas, some of which may result in the formation of fusion proteins. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 18. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
