Description
Anti-Mouse CTLA-4 [9D9] In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin
Introducing the Anti-Mouse CTLA-4 [9D9] In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin from Assay Genie, a highly specific monoclonal antibody designed for in vivo applications. This antibody targets the CTLA-4 protein, a critical regulator of immune responses, making it ideal for research in immunology and related fields.
With a rat IgG2b isotype, it guarantees high purity and low endotoxin levels (<1.0 EU/mg), perfect for ELISA, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and other assays. Available in various sizes, it is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline for stability and efficacy. Enhance your research with this reliable and versatile antibody. CTLA-4 (Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen 4) is an immune checkpoint receptor expressed primarily on T cells. It plays a significant role in downregulating immune responses, providing a crucial mechanism for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing autoimmunity. CTLA-4 competes with the costimulatory receptor CD28 for binding to the B7 molecules (CD80/CD86) on antigen-presenting cells, thereby inhibiting T cell activation.

CTLA-4 is a 33 kD member of the Ig superfamily similar to CD28 in amino acid sequence, structure, and genomic organization. CTLA-4 is a protein receptor that functions as an immune checkpoint and downregulates immune responses. It is involved in the development of protective immunity and thymocyte regulation, in addition to the induction and maintenance of immunological tolerance. CTLA-4 has therapeutic potential both as an agonist to reduce immune activity, and an antagonist to increase immune activity.
