The MEKK3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3695) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the MEKK3 protein, a key player in various signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has been extensively validated for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications, demonstrating high specificity and sensitivity in detecting MEKK3 in human samples.MEKK3, also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 3, is involved in multiple cellular processes, including inflammation, stress response, and development.
Dysregulation of MEKK3 has been linked to various diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. By using the MEKK3 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the functions and dysfunctions of MEKK3 in different biological contexts, aiding in the development of novel treatments for related conditions.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human MEKK3 (Q99759).
This gene product is a 626-amino acid polypeptide that is 96.5% identical to mouse Mekk3. Its catalytic domain is closely related to those of several other kinases, including mouse Mekk2, tobacco NPK, and yeast Ste11. Northern blot analysis revealed a 4.6-kb transcript that appears to be ubiquitously expressed. This protein directly regulates the stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) and extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase (ERK) pathways by activating SEK and MEK1/2 respectively; it does not regulate the p38 pathway. In cotransfection assays, it enhanced transcription from a nuclear factor kappa-B (NFKB)-dependent reporter gene, consistent with a role in the SAPK pathway. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
