The KMT2B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18852) is a valuable tool for researchers studying KMT2B, a histone methyltransferase protein involved in gene regulation and development. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the KMT2B protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of KMT2B expression in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in epigenetics and developmental biology.KMT2B, also known as MLL4, plays a crucial role in histone modification and chromatin remodeling, influencing gene expression patterns and cellular differentiation.
Dysregulation of KMT2B has been linked to various diseases, including developmental disorders and certain types of cancer. Investigating the function of KMT2B is essential for understanding its role in these conditions and may lead to the development of targeted therapies in the future.Overall, the KMT2B Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to explore the functions and mechanisms of KMT2B in health and disease. Its specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset for studies aiming to uncover the complexities of gene regulation and epigenetic control.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1370-1570 of human KMT2B (NP_055542.1).
This gene encodes a protein which contains multiple domains including a CXXC zinc finger, three PHD zinc fingers, two FY-rich domains, and a SET (suppressor of variegation, enhancer of zeste, and trithorax) domain. The SET domain is a conserved C-terminal domain that characterizes proteins of the MLL (mixed-lineage leukemia) family. This gene is ubiquitously expressed in adult tissues. It is also amplified in solid tumor cell lines, and may be involved in human cancer. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported for this gene, however, the full length nature of the shorter transcript is not known.
