The Anti-IDO1 Antibody (CAB12125) is a reliable tool for researchers studying the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1), an important regulator of immune responses. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and sensitive for detecting IDO1 in human samples, making it a valuable tool for Western blot applications. By binding to the IDO1 protein, researchers can accurately measure and analyze IDO1 expression in various cell types.IDO1 plays a key role in immune regulation by catalyzing the degradation of tryptophan, thereby suppressing immune responses and promoting immune tolerance. Dysregulation of IDO1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases.
Therefore, a better understanding of IDO1 activity is essential for the development of potential therapeutic interventions. This Anti-IDO1 Antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to investigate the role of IDO1 in immune modulation and its potential as a therapeutic target in various disease contexts. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for immunology and cancer research studies, offering valuable insights into the complex interplay between the immune system and disease pathogenesis.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 50-150 of human IDO1 (P14902).
This gene encodes indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) - a heme enzyme that catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in tryptophan catabolism to N-formyl-kynurenine. This enzyme acts on multiple tryptophan substrates including D-tryptophan, L-tryptophan, 5-hydroxy-tryptophan, tryptamine, and serotonin. This enzyme is thought to play a role in a variety of pathophysiological processes such as antimicrobial and antitumor defense, neuropathology, immunoregulation, and antioxidant activity. Through its expression in dendritic cells, monocytes, and macrophages this enzyme modulates T-cell behavior by its peri-cellular catabolization of the essential amino acid tryptophan.
