Description
Anti-Human IL-4 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin
Introducing the Anti-Human IL-4 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin from Assay Genie, a highly specific monoclonal antibody designed for in vivo applications. This antibody targets interleukin 4 (IL-4), a critical cytokine in the immune response, making it ideal for research in immunology and related fields.
With a rat IgG1 isotype, it ensures high purity and low endotoxin levels (<1.0 EU/mg), perfect for ELISA, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and other assays. Available in various sizes, it is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline for stability and efficacy. Enhance your research with this reliable and versatile antibody. IL-4 is a significant cytokine involved in immune response regulation, playing a crucial role in the differentiation of naive helper T cells (Th0 cells) to Th2 cells. It influences various immune cells, including B cells, T cells, and mast cells, promoting antibody production, particularly immunoglobulin E (IgE), and is pivotal in allergic responses and asthma.

IL-4 is a 15-19 kD pleiotropic immune cytokine secreted by activated TH2 cells. It has many biological roles, including the regulation in humoral and adaptive immunity, the inhibition of bone resorption, the stimulation of activated B-cell and T-cell proliferation, and initiation of allergic responses. Moreover, IL-4 induces a positive feedback loop by stimulating differentiation of naive helper T cells, or Th0 cells, to Th2 cells which in turn secrete more IL-4. Increased IL-4 production and overproduction of IL-4R are found in many cancers. IL-4 has a significant effect on tumor progression by increasing apoptosis resistance via tumor growth enhancement. IL-4 may also play a part in the immune dysregulation that occurs in most HIV-1 infected patients.
