Anti-Human CD2 In Vivo Antibody - Ultra Low Endotoxin
Introducing the Anti-Human CD2 In Vivo Antibody - Ultra Low Endotoxin from Assay Genie, a highly specific monoclonal antibody engineered for in vivo experiments. This antibody specifically targets the CD2 protein, which is pivotal in T-cell activation and adhesion, making it an excellent choice for immunological research and related studies. Boasting a rat IgG2b isotype, it ensures exceptional purity and ultra-low endotoxin levels (<0.01 EU/mg), making it ideal for applications such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
Available in multiple sizes, this antibody is meticulously formulated in phosphate-buffered saline to guarantee stability and efficacy. Elevate your research with this dependable and versatile antibody. CD2 is a surface glycoprotein primarily found on T-cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It crucially contributes to the immune system by facilitating T-cell adhesion and signal transduction, thus playing an essential role in the body's immune response.

CD2 is a 45-59 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the Ig superfamily. CD2 is the receptor for LFA-3/CD58. CD2 serves as an adhesion receptor that binds to CD58; generating the activation of CD2-positive T cells and NK cells and in the regulation of their cytolytic activities. CD2 is a specific marker for T cells and NK cells. Hence, it can be used in immunohistochemistry to identify the occurrence of these cells in tissue sections. The vast majority of T cell lymphomas and leukemias express CD2 which makes it possible to distinguish these conditions from B-cell lymphomas.
