The Anti-Histone H2A Antibody (CAB3692) is a powerful tool for researchers studying histone proteins and their role in epigenetic regulation. Histone H2A is a core component of nucleosomes, the basic unit of chromatin, and plays a central role in gene expression and DNA packaging. This antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically targets histone H2A and is highly reactive with human samples.Validated for use in Western blot applications, the Anti-Histone H2A Antibody enables precise detection and analysis of histone H2A proteins in various cell types. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for studying epigenetic modifications, chromatin remodeling, and gene regulation in the context of diseases like cancer, developmental disorders, and aging.
By providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying histone H2A, this antibody contributes to our understanding of the intricate mechanisms that govern gene expression and cellular function. Its versatility and accuracy make it an essential asset for studies in molecular biology, genetics, and epigenetics, offering new insights into the complex interplay between histones and DNA in health and disease.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H2A family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is found in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22-p21.3.
