The Anti-Histone H1.4 Antibody (CAB20550) is a valuable tool for researchers studying histones, nuclear proteins that play a key role in gene regulation and chromatin structure. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reacts with human samples, making it ideal for a variety of research applications.Histone H1.4 is a subtype of histone H1, a protein that binds to DNA and helps regulate gene expression. Abnormalities in histone H1.4 have been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders. By targeting histone H1.4, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.
This antibody is validated for use in Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and other techniques, allowing for the detection and analysis of histone H1.4 in different cell types and tissues. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable tool for studies in epigenetics, cancer biology, and developmental biology.Overall, the Anti-Histone H1.4 Antibody (CAB20550) is a crucial resource for researchers looking to explore the role of histones in health and disease, providing valuable insights that could lead to new treatment strategies and diagnostic tools.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H1 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails but instead contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is found in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6.
