The Anti-Fibronectin Antibody (CAB12977) is a valuable tool for researchers interested in studying fibronectin, a key protein involved in cell adhesion and migration. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting fibronectin in human samples. Validated for use in Western blotting applications, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of fibronectin in a variety of cell types.Fibronectin plays a critical role in various biological processes, including wound healing, embryonic development, and tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of fibronectin expression has been linked to diseases such as cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular disorders.
By targeting fibronectin, researchers can gain insights into disease mechanisms and potentially develop novel therapeutic strategies. This Anti-Fibronectin Antibody is a valuable tool for immunology, oncology, and cell biology research, providing researchers with the means to study the role of fibronectin in health and disease. Its high reactivity and specificity make it an essential component of any research project focused on understanding the functions of this critical protein.

This gene encodes fibronectin, a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and in extracellular matrix. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. The gene has three regions subject to alternative splicing, with the potential to produce 20 different transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that undergoes proteolytic processing. The full-length nature of some variants has not been determined.
