The CRB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10698) is a vital tool for researchers studying CRB1, a protein located on the cell membrane that is involved in cell polarity and adhesion. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity for human samples and has been rigorously tested for Western blot applications.CRB1 is essential for maintaining the integrity of cell layers and is particularly important in the development and function of the retina. Mutations in the CRB1 gene have been linked to various retinal diseases, making it a promising target for research in ophthalmology and vision-related disorders.
By using the CRB1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately detect and analyze CRB1 expression in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its role in health and disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying retinal disorders and developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting CRB1.

This gene encodes a protein which is similar to the Drosophila crumbs protein and localizes to the inner segment of mammalian photoreceptors. In Drosophila crumbs localizes to the stalk of the fly photoreceptor and may be a component of the molecular scaffold that controls proper development of polarity in the eye. Mutations in this gene are associated with a severe form of retinitis pigmentosa, RP12, and with Leber congenital amaurosis. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants, some protein coding and some non-protein coding.
