The Anti-Cars Antibody (CAB0438) offered by Assay Genie is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving Cars, a key protein involved in cellular function and regulation. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for a wide range of applications in immunology and cancer research.Cars, also known as CoaA or cysteinyl-tRNA synthetase, plays a critical role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the ligation of cysteine to its cognate tRNA molecule. This process is essential for protein synthesis and overall cell function. The Anti-Cars Antibody binds specifically to the Cars protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types and experimental settings.
Studying the activity of Cars is important for understanding its role in diseases such as cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurological conditions. By investigating the function and regulation of Cars, researchers can uncover potential therapeutic targets and pathways for treating these diseases. The Anti-Cars Antibody is a valuable tool for advancing research in this field and uncovering new insights into cellular biology and disease mechanisms.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 650-748 of human CARS (P49589).
This gene encodes a class 1 aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase, cysteinyl-tRNA synthetase. Each of the twenty aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyzes the aminoacylation of a specific tRNA or tRNA isoaccepting family with the cognate amino acid. This gene is one of several located near the imprinted gene domain on chromosome 11p15.5, an important tumor-suppressor gene region. Alterations in this region have been associated with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, Wilms tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, and lung, ovarian and breast cancers. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
