The Anti-BAG2 Antibody (CAB8775) is a high-quality research tool designed for the detection and analysis of BAG2 protein levels in various cell types. BAG2 is known to be involved in regulating protein degradation and apoptosis, making it a crucial target for studies in oncology and neurology. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.BAG2, also known as BAG family molecular chaperone regulator 2, is a key player in cellular stress response and proteostasis.
Dysregulation of BAG2 has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and other disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. The Anti-BAG2 Antibody enables researchers to investigate the expression and function of BAG2 in various biological processes, providing valuable insights for drug development and disease management.

BAG proteins compete with Hip for binding to the Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase domain and promote substrate release. All the BAG proteins have an approximately 45-amino acid BAG domain near the C terminus but differ markedly in their N-terminal regions. The predicted BAG2 protein contains 211 amino acids. The BAG domains of BAG1, BAG2, and BAG3 interact specifically with the Hsc70 ATPase domain in vitro and in mammalian cells. All 3 proteins bind with high affinity to the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and inhibit its chaperone activity in a Hip-repressible manner.
