The Anti-ATP4B Antibody (CAB19280) is a highly specific tool for researchers studying ATP4B, a protein involved in gastric acid secretion and maintenance of the gastric mucosa. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in applications such as Western blotting.ATP4B, also known as H+/K+ transporting ATPase subunit beta, is essential for the functioning of the proton pump in parietal cells of the stomach. Dysregulation of ATP4B has been implicated in various gastric disorders, including gastric ulcers and gastritis.
By targeting ATP4B with this antibody, researchers can explore the role of this protein in gastric physiology and pathology. This antibody provides a valuable tool for investigating the mechanisms underlying gastric acid secretion and the potential therapeutic implications for disorders related to ATP4B dysfunction. Its high specificity and reactivity make it an ideal choice for researchers in the fields of gastroenterology and cell biology.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of P-type cation-transporting ATPases. The gastric H+, K+-ATPase is a heterodimer consisting of a high molecular weight catalytic alpha subunit and a smaller but heavily glycosylated beta subunit. This enzyme is a proton pump that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of H(+) and K(+) ions across the plasma membrane. It is also responsible for gastric acid secretion. This gene encodes the beta subunit of the gastric H+, K+-ATPase.
