The Anti-Asymmetric Dimethyl Histone H3 R2 Antibody (CAB20732) is a highly specific and sensitive tool for studying asymmetric dimethyl histone H3 R2, an important epigenetic marker involved in gene regulation. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, is optimized for detection of human samples and is validated for use in a variety of applications, including immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. Asymmetric dimethyl histone H3 R2 is known to play a key role in transcriptional regulation and is implicated in various cellular processes, such as DNA repair and cell differentiation.
Dysregulation of this histone modification has been linked to cancer, developmental disorders, and other diseases, making it an attractive target for research in epigenetics and chromatin biology. By using the Anti-Asymmetric Dimethyl Histone H3 R2 Antibody (CAB20732), researchers can investigate the role of this epigenetic marker in gene expression, chromatin structure, and cellular function, leading to a better understanding of its biological significance and potential therapeutic applications.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. This structure consists of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a nucleosome, an octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H3 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is found in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22-p21.3.
