The Anti-Alpha-Actinin-4 Antibody (CAB3379) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of alpha-actinin-4 in cellular structure and function. This antibody, raised against alpha-actinin-4, a cytoskeletal protein involved in cell motility and adhesion, is highly specific and sensitive for detecting alpha-actinin-4 in human samples. Its validated use in Western blot applications allows for precise detection and analysis of alpha-actinin-4 levels in various cell types.Alpha-actinin-4 is an important regulator of actin cytoskeleton dynamics, playing a key role in maintaining cell shape and movement. Dysregulation of alpha-actinin-4 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and kidney disorders, making it a target of interest for researchers in these fields.
By using the Anti-Alpha-Actinin-4 Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the function of alpha-actinin-4 and its potential role in disease pathogenesis.Overall, the Anti-Alpha-Actinin-4 Antibody (CAB3379) is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the role of alpha-actinin-4 in cellular physiology and disease processes. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a reliable choice for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and beyond.

Alpha actinins belong to the spectrin gene superfamily which represents a diverse group of cytoskeletal proteins, including the alpha and beta spectrins and dystrophins. Alpha actinin is an actin-binding protein with multiple roles in different cell types. In nonmuscle cells, the cytoskeletal isoform is found along microfilament bundles and adherens-type junctions, where it is involved in binding actin to the membrane. In contrast, skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle isoforms are localized to the Z-disc and analogous dense bodies, where they help anchor the myofibrillar actin filaments. This gene encodes a nonmuscle, alpha actinin isoform which is concentrated in the cytoplasm, and thought to be involved in metastatic processes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis.
