The Anti-Acetyl BRD4 (K332) Antibody (CAB20208) is a valuable tool for researchers studying epigenetic regulation and chromatin remodeling. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically targets the acetylated lysine 332 residue on the BRD4 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various experimental settings.BRD4 is a key player in the regulation of gene expression through its interaction with acetylated histones, and specifically acetylated lysine 332 has been implicated in controlling transcriptional activation. The Anti-Acetyl BRD4 (K332) Antibody enables researchers to investigate the role of this post-translational modification in gene regulation, making it an essential component in epigenetics and cancer research.
By utilizing this antibody in techniques such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying BRD4 function and its implications in various disease states. The information obtained from studying BRD4 acetylation at lysine 332 can lead to the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting epigenetic dysregulation in cancer and other diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene is homologous to the murine protein MCAP, which associates with chromosomes during mitosis, and to the human RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. Each of these proteins contains two bromodomains, a conserved sequence motif which may be involved in chromatin targeting. This gene has been implicated as the chromosome 19 target of translocation t(15;19)(q13;p13.1), which defines an upper respiratory tract carcinoma in young people. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
