The AMP Deaminase 1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7876) is a valuable tool for researchers studying AMP deaminase 1, an enzyme involved in nucleotide metabolism and energy production in cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting AMP deaminase 1 in human samples. It has been extensively validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for precise and reliable analysis of this crucial enzyme.AMP deaminase 1 plays a key role in maintaining cellular energy levels and regulating metabolic processes.
Dysregulation of this enzyme has been linked to various health conditions, including metabolic disorders and muscle diseases. By using the AMP Deaminase 1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can explore the functions and mechanisms of this enzyme in different cell types and tissues, advancing our understanding of its role in health and disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in biochemistry, metabolism, and related fields.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human AMPD1 (P23109).
Adenosine monophosphate deaminase 1 catalyzes the deamination of AMP to IMP in skeletal muscle and plays an important role in the purine nucleotide cycle. Two other genes have been identified, AMPD2 and AMPD3, for the liver- and erythocyte-specific isoforms, respectively. Deficiency of the muscle-specific enzyme is apparently a common cause of exercise-induced myopathy and probably the most common cause of metabolic myopathy in the human. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.
