The AMOT Polyclonal Antibody is a vital tool for researchers studying angiomotin (AMOT), a protein involved in cell polarity, migration, and angiogenesis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to AMOT and has been validated for use in various experimental applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence. By targeting the AMOT protein, researchers can investigate its role in cellular processes related to cancer, cardiovascular disease, and developmental biology.AMOT is a key regulator of cell signaling pathways, controlling cell growth and survival in response to changes in the cellular environment.
Dysregulation of AMOT has been linked to tumorigenesis and progression in various cancers, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By utilizing the AMOT Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can uncover the mechanisms underlying AMOT's functions and potentially develop new strategies for treating diseases associated with its aberrant expression.

This gene belongs to the motin family of angiostatin binding proteins characterized by conserved coiled-coil domains and C-terminal PDZ binding motifs. The encoded protein is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells of capillaries as well as larger vessels of the placenta where it may mediate the inhibitory effect of angiostatin on tube formation and the migration of endothelial cells toward growth factors during the formation of new blood vessels. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
