The ALSIN Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7125) is a valuable tool for research involving ALSIN, a protein associated with neurological disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in immunohistochemistry and Western blot applications. By binding to the ALSIN protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in neurology and neurodegenerative diseases.
ALSLIN, also known as ALS2, is a key player in neuronal health and function, with mutations in the ALS2 gene linked to motor neuron degeneration in ALS patients. Understanding the role of ALSIN in neurodegeneration is crucial for developing potential therapies targeting this protein and addressing the underlying mechanisms of ALS and related disorders. By utilizing the ALSIN Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function of ALSIN and its implications for neurological health.

The protein encoded by this gene contains an ATS1/RCC1-like domain, a RhoGEF domain, and a vacuolar protein sorting 9 (VPS9) domain, all of which are guanine-nucleotide exchange factors that activate members of the Ras superfamily of GTPases. The protein functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the small GTPase RAB5. The protein localizes with RAB5 on early endosomal compartments, and functions as a modulator for endosomal dynamics. Mutations in this gene result in several forms of juvenile lateral sclerosis and infantile-onset ascending spastic paralysis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
