The ALDOA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1142) is a powerful tool for researchers studying ALDOA, a key enzyme in the glycolytic pathway that plays a crucial role in energy production and metabolism. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and sensitive for detecting ALDOA in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. ALDOA is known to be overexpressed in various types of cancer, and its role in tumor growth and metabolism makes it a promising target for cancer research. By targeting ALDOA, researchers can gain valuable insights into the metabolic changes that occur in cancer cells and potentially develop new therapeutic strategies.
Furthermore, ALDOA has also been implicated in other diseases such as diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders, underscoring its importance in human health and disease. The ALDOA Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool for studying the function and expression of ALDOA in various biological contexts, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of its role in health and disease.

This gene encodes a member of the class I fructose-bisphosphate aldolase protein family. The encoded protein is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Three aldolase isozymes (A, B, and C), encoded by three different genes, are differentially expressed during development. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Glycogen Storage Disease XII, an autosomal recessive disorder associated with hemolytic anemia. Disruption of this gene also plays a role in the progression of multiple types of cancers. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 3 and 10.
