The Purified Human CD4 Monoclonal Antibody (RPA-T4) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD4, a key cell surface marker on helper T cells that plays a vital role in immune response regulation. This monoclonal antibody, designated AGEL1385, is meticulously purified and specifically designed for use in a variety of research applications, including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and functional assays.CD4 is a critical player in the adaptive immune response, facilitating communication between immune cells and coordinating the body's defense against pathogens. The RPA-T4 antibody binds specifically to CD4, allowing for precise detection and analysis of CD4-expressing cells in human samples.
Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for investigating immune cell populations, monitoring immune responses, and exploring the mechanisms underlying various immune-mediated diseases.Researchers in immunology, infectious diseases, and autoimmunity will find the Purified Human CD4 Monoclonal Antibody (RPA-T4) to be a valuable asset in their studies. By enabling the accurate identification and characterization of CD4-positive cells, this antibody opens up new possibilities for understanding immune system function and developing targeted therapies for immune-related disorders.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 2.0 µg per 106 cells in 100 µL volume or 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Background:
CD4, also known as T4/Leu-3, is a 55 kD single-chain type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on most thymocytes, helper T cells, type II NKT cells, and monocytes/macrophages. CD4 is part of the TCR/CD3 complex, binds to β2 domain from the MHC class II molecule, and participates in TCR signal transduction. CD4 is the receptor of IL-16 and is a coreceptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and human herpes virus 7 (HHV-7).
