The ADSL Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6278) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ADSL protein, involved in purine metabolism. This antibody, generated in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in techniques such as Western blotting. By binding to the ADSL protein, this antibody facilitates the detection and analysis of ADSL in various cell types, making it suitable for research in areas such as biochemistry and molecular biology.ADSL, also known as adenylosuccinate lyase, plays a key role in the de novo synthesis of purines, essential components of DNA and RNA.
Dysregulation of purine metabolism, including ADSL activity, has been linked to various genetic disorders and metabolic diseases. By studying the function of ADSL, researchers can gain insights into these conditions and explore potential therapeutic strategies for their treatment.Overall, the ADSL Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in purine metabolism, genetic disorders, and related fields. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a reliable choice for Western blot analysis and other research applications.
Product Name:
ADSL Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

CAB6278
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-310 of human ADSL (NP_000017.1).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the lyase 1 family. It is an essential enzyme involved in purine metabolism, and catalyzes two non-sequential reactions in the de novo purine biosynthetic pathway: the conversion of succinylaminoimidazole carboxamide ribotide (SAICAR) to aminoimidazole carboxamide ribotide (AICAR) and the conversion of adenylosuccinate (S-AMP) to adenosine monophosphate (AMP). Mutations in this gene are associated with adenylosuccinase deficiency (ADSLD), a disorder marked with psychomotor retardation, epilepsy or autistic features. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
