The Adipor1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1509) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Adipor1, a cell surface receptor involved in the regulation of metabolism and energy balance. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Adipor1, also known as adiponectin receptor 1, is a key player in adiponectin signaling, a hormone that plays a crucial role in metabolic regulation and insulin sensitivity. Dysregulation of Adipor1 has been linked to metabolic disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
By targeting Adipor1 with this antibody, researchers can better understand its function and potential therapeutic targets for these conditions. With the Adipor1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can confidently study the expression and localization of Adipor1 in various cell types and tissues, advancing our knowledge of metabolic diseases and potentially leading to the development of novel treatment strategies.
Product Name:
ADIPOR1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB1509
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-59 of human Adiponectin Receptor 1 (NP_057083.2).
This gene encodes a protein which acts as a receptor for adiponectin, a hormone secreted by adipocytes which regulates fatty acid catabolism and glucose levels. Binding of adiponectin to the encoded protein results in activation of an AMP-activated kinase signaling pathway which affects levels of fatty acid oxidation and insulin sensitivity. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 14. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
51094
