Description
ADAMTS12 Antibody (PACO24763)
The ADAMTS12 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC024763) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ADAMTS12 protein, a member of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) family known for its role in extracellular matrix remodeling and tissue homeostasis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ADAMTS12 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and tissue remodeling research.ADAMTS12 is a crucial enzyme involved in the modulation of extracellular matrix components, such as collagens and proteoglycans, making it essential for tissue development and maintenance.
Dysregulation of ADAMTS12 has been linked to various pathological conditions, including arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. Understanding the function and regulation of ADAMTS12 is essential for advancing therapeutic strategies targeting these diseases and promoting tissue repair and regeneration.Overall, the ADAMTS12 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the intricate role of ADAMTS12 in tissue remodeling, providing insights into its potential as a therapeutic target for a range of diseases.

NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a member of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) protein family. Members of the family share several distinct protein modules, including a propeptide region, a metalloproteinase domain, a disintegrin-like domain, and a thrombospondin type 1 (TS-1) motif. Individual members of this family differ in the number of C-terminal TS-1 motifs, and some have unique C-terminal domains. The enzyme encoded by this gene contains eight TS-1 motifs. It may play roles in pulmonary cells during fetal development or in tumor processes through its proteolytic activity or as a molecule potentially involved in regulation of cell adhesion.
