The ADAM9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5388) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ADAM9, a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the ADAM family of proteins, which are involved in cell adhesion, migration, and proteolysis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has been specifically designed for use in Western blot applications and is highly reactive with human samples.ADAM9 is known to play a role in various cellular processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. It is also implicated in the pathogenesis of cancer, with increased expression levels observed in various types of cancer, making it a potential target for cancer therapy.
The ADAM9 Polyclonal Antibody binds to the ADAM9 protein, enabling researchers to detect and analyze its expression levels in different cell types.By using the ADAM9 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function of ADAM9 in cancer progression and other diseases, ultimately contributing to the development of new therapies and interventions. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a reliable tool for studies in cancer research, cell biology, and molecular biology.

This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with SH3 domain-containing proteins, binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 beta protein, and is also involved in TPA-induced ectodomain shedding of membrane-anchored heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene.
