The ADAM11 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14249) is designed for research involving ADAM11, a cell surface protein involved in cell adhesion and signaling. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been extensively validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ADAM11 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an excellent tool for studies in cell biology and cancer research.ADAM11, a member of the ADAM metalloproteinase family, plays a crucial role in cell-cell interactions, cell migration, and signaling processes.
Its involvement in these cellular processes makes it a promising target for research into cancer progression, metastasis, and other pathological conditions. Understanding the function and regulation of ADAM11 is essential for developing targeted therapies that can inhibit or enhance its activity in various disease contexts. Overall, the ADAM11 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the role of ADAM11 in cellular physiology and disease, providing insights that may lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) protein family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This gene represents a candidate tumor suppressor gene for human breast cancer based on its location within a minimal region of chromosome 17q21 previously defined by tumor deletion mapping. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed.
