The Adenosine Deaminase Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1019) is a vital tool for research involving adenosine deaminase, an enzyme involved in purine metabolism and immune system regulation. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to adenosine deaminase, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and cancer research.Adenosine deaminase is a key enzyme in the purine salvage pathway, essential for maintaining immune function by regulating levels of adenosine, a molecule involved in inflammation and immune response modulation.
Dysregulation of adenosine deaminase activity has been implicated in various diseases, including immunodeficiency disorders and cancer. Understanding the role of adenosine deaminase is crucial for developing targeted therapies that can modulate immune function and potentially treat these conditions. Utilizing the Adenosine Deaminase Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1019) in your research can provide valuable insights into the function of adenosine deaminase and its implications for immune system regulation, offering new avenues for exploring potential treatment strategies for a range of diseases.
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-363 of human Adenosine Deaminase (Adenosine Deaminase (ADA)) (NP_000013.2).
This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of adenosine to inosine in the purine catabolic pathway. Various mutations have been described for this gene and have been linked to human diseases related to impaired immune function such as severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID) which is the result of a deficiency in the ADA enzyme. In ADA-deficient individuals there is a marked depletion of T, B, and NK lymphocytes, and consequently, a lack of both humoral and cellular immunity. Conversely, elevated levels of this enzyme are associated with congenital hemolytic anemia.
