The ACVRL1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1791) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ACVRL1, a receptor protein involved in the regulation of blood vessel formation and maintenance. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. It specifically targets the ACVRL1 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types.ACVRL1, also known as activin receptor-like kinase 1, plays a crucial role in angiogenesis, the process of forming new blood vessels from existing ones.
Dysregulation of ACVRL1 has been linked to various vascular disorders and diseases, making it a key target for research in vascular biology and cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the function and regulation of ACVRL1 is essential for developing targeted therapies for these conditions.Overall, the ACVRL1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1791) is a reliable tool for investigating the role of ACVRL1 in vascular biology and related diseases, providing valuable insights into potential therapeutic strategies.

This gene encodes a type I cell-surface receptor for the TGF-beta superfamily of ligands. It shares with other type I receptors a high degree of similarity in serine-threonine kinase subdomains, a glycine- and serine-rich region (called the GS domain) preceding the kinase domain, and a short C-terminal tail. The encoded protein, sometimes termed ALK1, shares similar domain structures with other closely related ALK or activin receptor-like kinase proteins that form a subfamily of receptor serine/threonine kinases. Mutations in this gene are associated with hemorrhagic telangiectasia type 2, also known as Rendu-Osler-Weber syndrome 2.
