The ACTR1B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15773) is a valuable tool for studying ACTR1B, a protein that plays a role in cell division and organization of the actin cytoskeleton. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly reactive with human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ACTR1B protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and cancer research.ACTR1B is a key player in the regulation of cell division and the maintenance of cell structure, making it a crucial target for research into processes like cell proliferation and migration.
Its involvement in these cellular functions also makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in diseases such as cancer, where abnormal cell division and motility are hallmarks of the disease. By understanding the role of ACTR1B in these processes, researchers can uncover new insights into disease mechanisms and potentially develop novel treatment strategies.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-105 of human ACTR1B (NP_005726.1).
This gene encodes a 42.3 kD subunit of dynactin, a macromolecular complex consisting of 10 subunits ranging in size from 22 to 150 kD. Dynactin binds to both microtubules and cytoplasmic dynein and is involved in a diverse array of cellular functions, including ER-to-Golgi transport, the centripetal movement of lysosomes and endosomes, spindle formation, chromosome movement, nuclear positioning, and axonogenesis. This subunit, like ACTR1A, is an actin-related protein. These two proteins, which are of equal length and share 90% amino acid identity, are present in a constant ratio of approximately 1:15 in the dynactin complex.
