Description
Anti-ACTC1/ACTA1/ACTG2 Antibody (MACO0471)
The ACTC1/ACTA1/ACTG2 Monoclonal Antibody (MACO0471) is a specialized tool for researchers studying actin-binding proteins involved in muscle contraction and cell structure. This monoclonal antibody, created using hybridoma technology, targets the ACTC1, ACTA1, and ACTG2 proteins specifically and with high affinity.ACTC1, ACTA1, and ACTG2 are essential components of the actin cytoskeleton, playing crucial roles in muscle development, function, and maintenance. Their dysregulation has been linked to various muscle disorders, including myopathies and cardiomyopathies. By using the MACO0471 antibody, researchers can accurately visualize and quantify the expression of these proteins in cell and tissue samples, aiding in the study of muscle-related diseases and cellular processes.
With its ability to detect multiple actin-binding proteins simultaneously, the ACTC1/ACTA1/ACTG2 Monoclonal Antibody provides a comprehensive solution for investigating the intricate mechanisms underlying muscle biology. Its versatility and specificity make it an indispensable tool for research in areas such as muscle physiology, cardiac biology, and skeletal muscle disorders.

IHC image of MACO0471 diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human skeletal muscle tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-mouse IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB. |
UniProt Protein Function: | ACTC1: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to 4 others. Belongs to the actin family. |

NCBI Summary: | Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to four others. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the actin family which is comprised of three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta, and gamma. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. Defects in this gene have been associated with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDC) and familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (FHC). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
