The ACOX3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17020) is a specialized research tool designed for studying the ACOX3 protein, which plays a key role in fatty acid metabolism and peroxisomal beta-oxidation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.ACOX3 is an essential enzyme involved in breaking down fatty acids for energy production and metabolic processes. Its dysfunction has been linked to metabolic disorders and diseases such as fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome.
By utilizing this antibody, researchers can investigate the expression levels and localization of ACOX3 in various cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential therapeutic targets for metabolic disorders. The ACOX3 Polyclonal Antibody is a crucial tool for advancing research in the fields of metabolism, lipid metabolism, and related diseases. Its high specificity and reliability make it an ideal choice for studies aiming to unravel the complexities of ACOX3 function and its implications in human health.
Product Name:
ACOX3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB17020
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 10-100 of human ACOX3 (NP_001095137).
Acyl-Coenzyme A oxidase 3 also know as pristanoyl -CoA oxidase (ACOX3)is involved in the desaturation of 2-methyl branched fatty acids in peroxisomes. Unlike the rat homolog, the human gene is expressed in very low amounts in liver such that its mRNA was undetectable by routine Northern-blot analysis or its product by immunoblotting or by enzyme activity measurements. However the human cDNA encoding a 700 amino acid protein with a peroxisomal targeting C-terminal tripeptide S-K-L was isolated and is thought to be expressed under special conditions such as specific developmental stages or in a tissue specific manner in tissues that have not yet been examined.
