The Acetyl-Hspa1a K246 Antibody (PACO06085) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the acetylation of Hspa1a, a heat shock protein known to play a role in cellular stress response. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with samples from multiple species, including human, mouse, and rat.Hspa1a is involved in protein folding and degradation, as well as protecting cells from stress-induced damage. Acetylation of Hspa1a at lysine 246 has been implicated in regulating its function and stability, making it a key site for study in the field of proteostasis.
The PACO06085 antibody is validated for use in Western blot and immunoprecipitation assays, allowing for the detection and analysis of acetylated Hspa1a in various cell types and experimental conditions. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the role of Hspa1a acetylation in cellular stress responses, aging, and disease.

NCBI Summary:
This intronless gene encodes a 70kDa heat shock protein which is a member of the heat shock protein 70 family. In conjuction with other heat shock proteins, this protein stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation and mediates the folding of newly translated proteins in the cytosol and in organelles. It is also involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway through interaction with the AU-rich element RNA-binding protein 1. The gene is located in the major histocompatibility complex class III region, in a cluster with two closely related genes which encode similar proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
