The Acetyl-Histone H3 (K4) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16078) is a powerful tool for researchers studying epigenetics and chromatin remodeling. This antibody, derived from rabbits, is highly specific to the acetylated form of Histone H3 at lysine 4 (K4) and is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.Histone acetylation at lysine 4 plays a crucial role in gene regulation and chromatin structure, influencing a wide range of cellular processes such as transcription, DNA repair, and apoptosis. The Acetyl-Histone H3 (K4) Antibody enables the detection and analysis of this specific histone modification, providing valuable insights into epigenetic mechanisms underlying gene expression and cellular function.
With its high specificity and sensitivity in detecting acetylated Histone H3 (K4), this antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating epigenetic changes associated with various diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, and developmental abnormalities. By targeting this specific histone modification, researchers can uncover new pathways and potential therapeutic targets for treating these conditions.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H3 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is located separately from the other H3 genes that are in the histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22-p21.3.
