The Acetyl-Histone H3 (K27) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7253) is a valuable tool for researchers studying epigenetic modifications, specifically acetylation of Histone H3 at lysine 27. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to acetylated Histone H3 at lysine 27, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze this modification in various cell types, making it ideal for epigenetics and cancer research studies.
Histone H3 acetylation at lysine 27 is a crucial epigenetic modification that plays a role in regulating gene expression and chromatin structure. Dysregulation of this modification has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders. The Acetyl-Histone H3 (K27) Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to investigate the function and impact of this modification, leading to a better understanding of its role in health and disease.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H3 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is located separately from the other H3 genes that are in the histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22-p21.3.
