The Acetyl-Histone H2B (K20) Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying epigenetic modifications of histones. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly specific to acetylated histone H2B at lysine 20 in human samples. It has been validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of this histone modification in various cell types.Histone acetylation at lysine 20 on H2B is known to play a role in gene expression regulation, chromatin structure, and cell differentiation. Aberrant acetylation at this site has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders.
By using this antibody, researchers can investigate the role of acetylated histone H2B (K20) in epigenetic regulation and its impact on gene expression.Overall, the Acetyl-Histone H2B (K20) Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in studying epigenetics, chromatin biology, and gene regulation. Its specificity and reliability make it an essential reagent for studies aimed at understanding the role of histone modifications in health and disease.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H2B family, and generates two transcripts through the use of the conserved stem-loop termination motif, and the polyA addition motif. The protein has antibacterial and antifungal antimicrobial activity.
