The ACAD9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7798) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ACAD9 protein, a key enzyme involved in mitochondrial function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it an ideal choice for Western blot applications. By targeting the ACAD9 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, paving the way for advancements in mitochondrial biology and related research fields.ACAD9, a member of the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family, plays a crucial role in fatty acid metabolism and energy production within the mitochondria.
Dysregulation of ACAD9 has been linked to various metabolic disorders and mitochondrial diseases, highlighting its importance in cellular homeostasis. By studying the function and expression of ACAD9 using this antibody, researchers can gain insights into its role in health and disease, potentially leading to the development of targeted therapeutics for mitochondrial disorders.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-270 of human ACAD9 (NP_054768.2).
This gene encodes a member of the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family. Members of this family of proteins localize to the mitochondria and catalyze the rate-limiting step in the beta-oxidation of fatty acyl-CoA. The encoded protein is specifically active toward palmitoyl-CoA and long-chain unsaturated substrates. Mutations in this gene cause acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family member type 9 deficiency. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
