The ABCG1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4328) is specifically designed for research involving ABCG1, a crucial transporter protein involved in cellular cholesterol homeostasis and lipid metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for Western blot applications. By binding to the ABCG1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in lipid biology and cardiovascular disease research.ABCG1 plays a critical role in mediating cholesterol efflux from cells and maintaining cellular lipid balance, making it a key player in the development of atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular conditions.
Understanding the function and regulation of ABCG1 is essential for uncovering potential therapeutic targets for managing dyslipidemia and preventing cardiovascular disease. This antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of ABCG1 in lipid metabolism and its implications in disease pathogenesis.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 6-120 of human ABCG1 (NP_004906.3).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the White subfamily. It is involved in macrophage cholesterol and phospholipids transport, and may regulate cellular lipid homeostasis in other cell types. Six alternative splice variants have been identified.
